Welcome

Feel anxious or uncertain at social events, networking, giving presentations, at family get togethers, or talking to strangers? You’re not alone. We are all somewhere on the spectrum between being socially anxious and socially confident. Most fear public speaking. Those who are socially anxious avoid social events and presentations. Even celebrities have had social anxiousness throughout their careers: Carol Burnett, Stephen Colbert, Barbara Streisand, and Warren Buffet, to name a few.

About Me

Hi, I'm Social Confidence Coach John Emenecker.

10 percent of subscriber proceeds will go to Red Nose Day. Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising campaign to end the cycle of child poverty and ensure a healthy future for all children. Red Nose Day is May 17, 2023.

I was high on the social anxiousness spectrum. I always felt anxious in my personal life and at work. Dale Carnegie, an anxiety group, and additional research taught me techniques to lower my anxiety in social situations. I learned to change the way I think. I rewired my brain. When I first heard this, I didn’t think it was possible. It is possible to change your neural network. It took evaluating many social situations, applying these skills consistently in increasingly more challenging social situations, calming and relaxation techniques, and, for me at least, it took a considerable amount of time, but change happened. I felt more confident speaking to others.

The techniques I will share are ones that apply to anyone - from those who have social anxiety disorder to those who want to improve their social skills to become more socially confident.
